Kenny Cass, driver development instructor for FedEx Freight of Portland, Oregon, was awarded the 2012 Highway Angel of the Year on December 15, 2012, in front of 34,000 fans at the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) and Internet Truckstop publicly recognized Cass as he was the only person to stop and help victims involved in a bad accident on the evening of March 22, 2012, in Portland.

Marcus Beam, a professional truck driver with Epes Transport System, Inc. of Greensboro, North Carolina was awarded the 2011 Highway Angel of the Year on December 11, 2011 in front of 30,000 fans at the Idaho Potato Bowl. The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) and Internet Truckstop publicly recognized Beam for rescuing an injured mother and two children from an overturned vehicle while others stood by and refused to help.

Hubbard is being recognized for rescuing a young man trapped inside a burning car.
