Stacee Goodrich of Henderson, Colorado, a professional truck driver with HVH Transportation, Inc. of Denver, Colorado, has been named a Highway Angel by the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA). He is being recognized for comforting an injured motorist who was ejected from vehicle.
On the afternoon of November 11, 2016, while traveling on I-15 near Mesquite, Nevada, Goodrich came upon an overturned car whose driver had been ejected into the left lane. The professional truck driver quickly dialed 911, activated his emergency flashers, and blocked the scene of the accident with his truck in order to protect the driver from oncoming traffic.
Goodrich comforted the injured driver and talked with him as he fell in and out of consciousness until EMS arrived. The driver’s niece later called HVH Transportation, Inc. to offer her gratitude to Goodrich for providing the family another holiday season with her uncle.
For his willingness to assist his fellow driver, TCA has presented Goodrich with a certificate, patches, a lapel pin, and truck decals. HVH Transportation, Inc. also received a certificate acknowledging Stacee Goodrich as a Highway Angel.
EpicVue sponsors TCA’s Highway Angel program. Since the program’s inception in August 1997, thousands of professional truck drivers have been recognized as Highway Angels for the exemplary kindness, courtesy, and courage they have displayed while on the job.
